My review of the multi-tasker Pro Resilience Serum from the Singapore-based skincare brand SACHI States Of Skin!
The brand SACHI States Of Skin has been on my mind since it launched, a couple of years ago. I was waiting impatiently for a product that would fit my needs. My wish was granted a few months ago, with their new multi-tasking Pro Resilience Serum. This product is truly a Swiss Army knife of cosmetics! If you’re attracted to minimalist routines, you’ll likely be intrigued… 👀
As you might know by now, I’m not exactly the most minimalist person in the world for skincare routines. Quite the opposite, in fact!
But if a product with a great formula comes along, especially if it meets almost all my skin needs, then why should I resist it! 😉
Overall, I really like the idea of a product that addresses several of my issues in a targeted way, combining a true synergy of effective and innovative ingredients!
And I also like the idea of supporting someone I’ve been following online for years, who is super passionate and who took her time to realize her dream. And on top of that, the brand is really original and different from what we usually see everywhere.
In this review, I’m going to introduce you to the brand SACHI States Of Skin, as well as its founder Farah Bashir, and I’m going to explain to you why I’m in love with this super talented and multi-tasking product, the Pro Resilience Serum!
SACHI States Of Skin, brand introduction:
I’ve been following Farah on her Instagram and on her blog for years. She is a respected voice in the skincare community, and when I realized that she was going to start her own brand, I followed the evolution of her project with great interest!
I knew she had taken time to think about a brand that made sense and fit her values. Farah Bashir has a degree in cosmetic chemistry and has also worked in the field, whether in retail or in beauty salons, and her knowledge and expertise are undeniable.
Farah, known as Beamwonder online, has always spoken openly about her various skin issues, including hyperpigmentation. Her work was a testament to her passion and commitment to finding effective and gentle treatments for the skin.
And hyperpigmentation is a pretty damn complex subject, raising quite a few myths, and misconceptions such as the very common and so damaging one that the lighter the skin, the prettier it is… 😖
Farah knew that very often, the suggested treatments for hyperpigmentation can compromise skin health or even alter the original skin tone. There is a lot of misinformation out there about how to treat hyperpigmentation, which in many cases requires a multi-front approach and not just one miracle product (by the way, this is actually true in many cases when it comes to skincare!).
SACHI States Of Skin was created by Farah to address these different needs, while avoiding stereotypes and providing a realistic and pragmatic approach to skincare. The brand also features formulations that celebrate her botanical heritage (inspired by Ayurvedic treatments), while addressing issues of mental wellness and cultural diversity.
SACHI States Of Skin truly wants to open up the dialogue on diversity by not only focusing on combating hyperpigmentation while taking into account the needs of different skin tones. They also seek to reinvent the language and marketing of beauty products as a whole.
And the diversity is also reflected in the brand’s name! In Sanskrit, the word “sachi” means “grace/truth/child of joy”, in Urdu “to be true/express the truth” and in Japanese “happiness/child of bliss”. All of these terms evoke positivity, and the same can be said of the company’s intent and structure. For Farah, the brand was born out of a personal need, but she aims to make it work for everyone.
The editorial platform found on SACHI States Of Skin’s website, Sachi Papers, offers education on ingredients and skincare routines, as well as an interview series called “It’s Deeper Than Skin.” The brand’s formulations actually include actives and quite technical ingredients such as triphala peptide complex, dioic acid, encapsulated retinal, ursolic acid…
The brand first launched with three products:
– the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector,
– the Complexion Clarifying Accelerator, a product that helps clarify and smooth the skin’s texture,
– and the Ursolic Acid and Retinal Overnight Reform, an anti-aging, anti-blemish and anti-pigmentation treatment.
Each of these products addresses several skin issues, such as hyperpigmentation, skin blemishes, moisture loss, oxidative stress and texture issues. As mentioned above, the brand’s philosophy favors a multi-action approach for more effectiveness.
In short, if I had to summarize, SACHI States Of Skin is committed to providing effective, safe and inclusive skincare, while educating consumers on ingredients, routines and beauty talk.
So you can easily see why the brand fascinates me, and I’m thrilled that I finally got to try one of their products, which, for the record, completely fits many of my skin needs!
SACHI States Of Skin Pro Resilience Serum, product presentation:
As you can see from my brand overview above, SACHI States Of Skin is all about multi-targeted treatment. And that’s great news for the skincare minimalists, all of those who don’t want to bother with multiple products when they can treat everything with just one, and still want effectiveness!
Because the brand offers multi-faceted formulas, rich in effective ingredients, that cover everything and provide a super complete response to the diverse skin needs.
And strangely enough, while my skincare routines are a million miles long, I’m very attracted to multi-functional products! Especially when they are technical like those from SACHI States Of Skin.
And the Pro Resilience Serum looks like it could be just what I’m after. If you’ve been looking for a moisturizing/soothing/anti-oxidant/anti-aging/ skin barrier repairing serum, this is it!
In fact, it’s actually difficult to be more complete than this serum. It’s a true all-in-one product. It contains everything you need to care for and protect your skin!
It includes:
– several hydrating ingredients: glycerin, hyaluronic acid, Aloe Vera, beta-glucan, Tamarind seed extract, Japanese blue algae (SACRAN),
– repairing ingredients, to support the integrity of the skin barrier: plant-based cholesterol, as well as several ceramides including phytosphingosine which has a purifying action on the skin,
– an “Ayurvedic Bioflavonoid Repair Complex” containing several plant extracts of soothing and antioxidant ingredients: Centella Asiatica, Arnica, Turmeric, Aloe Vera, Polygonaceae plant extract, Milk Thistle, Panthenol, Cucumber, Licorice Root and Thyme,
– several encapsulated peptides: Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-52 and Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-18 are encapsulated peptides also found under the name X50 MYOCEPT. These neuropeptides are “botox-like” peptides. Of course, they don’t have the same effects as real Botox, but they still help to firm, smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
– and soothing and antioxidant glucoside ingredients: rosmarinyl glucoside (derived from rosemary), caffeyl glucoside (derived from green coffee), gallyl glucoside (derived from oak leaf).
Note for those who don’t like it (which is not my case), this serum doesn’t contain niacinamide.
With a formula like this, I was expecting a rather rich, emulsion-like texture… But to my surprise, this is not the case at all! The Pro Resilience Serum has a liquid gel texture, which is non-greasy and penetrates the skin effortlessly, leaving it comfortable and plumped for a long time, without suffocating it.
SACHI States Of Skin Pro Resilience Serum, my experience:
I’m late with this review, it’s been a few months since I finished this serum, I started it in the Fall and finished it this Winter.
During this time, I have been using the Pro Resilience Serum in the morning and/or evening, usually after applying my essences.
As a reminder, I have a very dehydrated combination skin, I’m 44 years old, and depending on the anti-aging actives I use (retinoids, vitamin C, exfoliating acids), my skin can sometimes be a bit sensitized. Well, with practice, it happens less and less often, but considering my activity as a relentless tester of various skincare products, I’m never completely safe from a bit of over-solicitation of my skin! 😉
In terms of how to use this Pro Resilience Serum, I take two pumps of product and apply it to my face and neck. My skin absorbs it very quickly.
I then apply an emulsion and/or moisturizer, and of course my sunscreen on top if it’s morning.
I love its texture, super fresh and plumping, but still “robust”, and which leaves my skin comfortable and soothed for a while. As for the results, I have the impression that my skin is more resilient with it, that it tolerates certain actives better, and that it behaves less, which is always good to take!
As for the anti-aging action, I think it will be more visible in the long term. For me, this serum is rather a good complementary product, which perfectly goes with my more powerful anti-aging actives!
You may use it in the morning and/or evening. It’s a super complete product. If you want to do a minimalist routine, it’s great just used before a moisturizer, or even just with a sunscreen in the morning. 😉
Clearly, this isn’t a cheap product, but SACHI is an independent brand, they make everything themselves and it inevitably comes at a cost. The brand does have regular deals though, so keep an eye out for them.
I actually took advantage of an offer a few weeks ago to repurchase a bottle that I will probably use this summer, when my skin will be feeling desperate with the inevitable Dubai air conditioning. 😉
Usually, a bottle lasts me between 2 and 3 months using it once a day.
In conclusion:
I am a fan! The SACHI States Of Skin Pro Resilience Serum is really effective, it does the job and it’s really nice to use!
I’ve repurchased it before and will definitely do it again in the future! 🙂

Pros
- the elegant and practical packaging with its pump,
- an incredibly complete formula, which meets several skin needs with very well chosen ingredients,
- the fact that melanined and sensitive skins are the priority targets here (even if obviously, the product also works if you have less melanin, as I can attest!). It is a choice in the communication that I really appreciate,
- the soothing, moisturizing, repairing, healing, anti-aging, anti-oxidant... effects of this serum: it is good for almost everything!
- the texture is super pleasant, and it remains lightweight, whereas with a product that meets these skin needs in general, we usually get richer textures,
- the skin remains comfortable for a long time,
- it makes the skin more resilient in the mid and long term,
- the brand delivers internationally.
Cons
- its price, it's not cheap (but the brand regularly does promotions, you have to keep an eye out!).
