I tried the Korean best-selling AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule, a repairing ampoule great for the damaged skin barrier!

Does your skin feel drier because of the upcoming winter? Have you introduced retinol into your routine recently and your skin feels tighter than usual? Do you find the word “ceramide” appealing? The AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule will no doubt pique your interest! Let me tell you all about my extensive test of this oh-so effective treatment with an unbeatable price/ quantity ratio!

I’ve seen this product popping up on social media for literally years. The brand is not very well known, but this ceramide ampoule has a very loyal clientele if I believe the reviews of this product!

I have to admit it’s an attractive product: a formula tailor-made for those skins that need comfort and repair, in a large 100ml bottle for a very good price, and since it’s a Korean product, with a very pleasant and non-greasy texture! What’s not to love, really?

The temperatures have finally started to drop here in Dubai, and I have stepped up my use of retinol (which I now apply 5-6 times a week). As a result, my skin now needs more comfort than usual! And since it’s no longer 50 degrees outside, I can use comfortable textures more easily.

So it was the perfect time to try this ampoule that I have heard so much about!

Does it deserve its awesome reputation? My answer is in this review! 🙂

AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule, product presentation:

AMPLE:N is a Korean skincare brand that belongs to the Coréana cosmetics group. The group Coréana is a major cosmetics group in South Korea. It exists since the end of the 80s. Fun fact, at that time, they were the ones who managed the manufacturing of some Yves Rocher products (I think I already told you about it, but from the 60s to the 90s, France moved a lot the production of its cosmetics to South Korea; it was quite common practice at the time 😉).

Hey, it could be what helps you find the exact skincare product you were looking for.
We wouldn't want you missing out on that now, would we :)

AMPLE:N describes themselves as a brand based on the concept of “derma-ampoulism“. In English, that means that the brand is mainly composed of ampoules, which are highly concentrated serums that address specific skin needs.

They have ampoules based on peptides, but also hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, exfoliating acids…

And the star of the show today is their best seller: the Ceramide Shot Ampoule!

This ampoule is primarily intended for dry prone skin, or skin with a weakened barrier. In short, if you need an extra dose of comfort, this one is for you!

The Ceramide Shot Ampoule contains a “Cera Full Complex” that mimics the skin’s natural lipid components, strengthening the skin barrier and allowing it to function optimally for a more resilient skin.

This “Cera Full Complex” is composed of three types of ceramide (listed as Ceramide 1, 2 and 3 in the ingredients list). This ampoule contains 50,000ppm of Cera Full Complex, which means it makes up 5% of the ingredient list. It also contains cholesterol, which the skin loves because its inter-cellular cement contains it (the latter ensures the good cohesion of the skin cells, for a more flexible and comfortable skin).

The formula also contains a patented active ingredient, arctigenin, which helps repair the damaged skin barrier, as well as adenosine and niacinamide for their anti-aging and soothing properties. There is also betaine, which is known to contribute to the balance of the hydration of the skin. And arginine, which is hydrating and soothing just like the allantoin, another great active of this formula.

In short, a very comforting and repairing formula, perfect for skin that needs gentleness!

And all this in a huge 100ml bottle, available from $22 to $30 depending on the retailer. An unbeatable quantity/price ratio!

AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule, my experience:

I have been hooked on ceramide products for several years now. My skin has changed quite a bit in the last few years. It has become drier. My regular use of strong active ingredients like retinoids has made my skin crave for more comfort than before.

Ceramides became a natural part of my routine. They are indeed the perfect ingredients to repair the skin!

Ceramides are basically lipids (or fatty compounds) naturally present in the skin. They make up to 50% of the skin’s composition, so it’s not surprising that they play such an important role in protecting the skin from external aggressions and ensuring its elasticity and a younger look!

Interestingly, ceramides are even more effective when combined with other ingredients such as fatty acids, glycerin or cholesterol. The blend of these lipids works very well to effectively soothe and repair the skin!

Well, that’s the case with the AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule‘s formula, so that’s good news! 😉

And since it’s a Korean product, the texture is super nice: my skin is nourished without feeling greasy and it’s also soothed immediately, which is very nice!

I’ve been using it in my morning (and sometimes evening) routine for 2 months now and my skin loves it. Its texture is like an emulsion, quite milky and it forms a veil of soothing comfort on the skin, which is super pleasant, especially as it’s immediate!

I could even go without moisturizer if I wanted to, especially with a more moisturizing sunscreen.

And for results, I must say that my skin is also more resilient each day. I feel it is less prone to irritation since I’ve been using it.

What’s great is that with its extra large size, it will probably last me all winter, which I really appreciate. 🙂

In conclusion:

I can easily see why the AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule is so popular.

It gets the job done, is super pleasant to use, and it’s very affordable. In short, it ticks all the right boxes for a cosmetic gem! 😉

The AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule retails between $22 and $30 for 100ml, depending on the retailers.

+ Pros

- a great formula, with a lot of interesting skincare ingredients, great for skin repair,
- a melting but not too rich texture, which leaves the skin comfortable without feeling greasy or sticky,
- the almost immediate soothing effect,
- the repairing effect on the skin barrier thanks to ceramides, cholesterol and other emollient ingredients,
- it hydrates and nourishes lightly, the skin is comfortable without "heaviness",
- the formula is appropriate for the most sensitive and sensitized skin,
- it does not contain any added fragrance,
- the value for money is excellent, especially when you consider the large 100ml bottle.

- Cons

- I would have preferred a more practical pump bottle,
- I'm not convinced by the packaging also because it's a glass bottle. In this size, I'm afraid to break it.
