It’s summer here. It’s already 40 degrees during the day in the Emirates and it’s about time I switch from my classic moisturizer to a fresher gel-cream with a quenching sorbet texture. This year, I chose the super yummy Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream and I don’t regret my choice at all! Let me tell you more about it 😉
A little while ago, I reviewed the Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence from the same line. I really enjoyed it earlier this year.
I could have used the essence and this Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream at the same time in the same routine, but I had a feeling that the textures would be quite different and not necessarily complementary for me…
I could see the benefit of the Vegan Kombucha milky essence for deep hydration and nutrition of the skin in the colder weather. I love using these kinds of richer essences during the winter or spring. I always add one to my routine at this time of the year (like the Laneige or the I’m from, for example).
But regarding cream-gel moisturizers, I prefer to save them for the warm weather. When it’s hot, I typically crave this type of super fresh, quenching, and most importantly, non-greasy texture!
So yes, no doubt a drier skin type than mine will appreciate the combo of the two products together in the same routine. But for me, and my dehydrated combination skin that easily gets shiny, I prefer to use them at different times of the year!
And for the record, this Dr. Ceuracle gel-cream is a real winner, and I’m thrilled to have it on hand right now. I’ll explain why 😉.

Clearly, the popular success of this essence has inspired the brand to expand the line, and I’m certainly not going to complain about it! Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream was the second launch in this line (which now counts 6 references!). It was released in spring 2021.

If the brand Dr.Ceuracle has always claimed its serious nature, almost medical sometimes (they call themselves pioneers of “cosmeceuticals” in Korea, after all) (“cosmeceuticals” are a kind of middle ground between cosmetics and more medical treatments), with this Vegan Kombucha range, they are clearly in a much more fun, playful and above all gourmand approach!
Imagine a creamy iced chai latte… Well, that’s exactly how the very tempting Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream from Dr. Ceuracle looks like!
More specifically, it’s a moisturizing and antioxidant gel-cream, ideal for summer, or for people who prefer lightweight textures.
The formula contains many antioxidant and humectant ingredients, such as:
– hydrating glycerin, hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan,
– antioxidant, soothing, purifying, anti-aging niacinamide…
– Kombucha black tea extract (which is fermented tea), rich in probiotics and vitamin B, for its powerful antioxidant effect,
– saccharomyces, which are fermented ingredients naturally rich in minerals, amino acids, beta-glucan and vitamins. They are moisturizing and soothing.
– Camellia Sinensis (green tea) leaf water, which is also highly antioxidant, and is full of amino acids and proteins to help prevent skin aging,
– Schisandra Chinensis extract, a very antioxidant fruit,
– anti-oxidant cocoa,
– rosemary extract, which is antioxidant, purifying and soothing,
– and sunflower seed oil, to strengthen the skin barrier and bring comfort to the skin.
All this in a melting gel-cream texture, which absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy effect and making it feeling super fresh in the process. A genuine pleasure to apply!
Also, the jar is quite generous: 75ml. It will last me for a while!
Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream, my experience:
Contrary to usual, I’m not going to go into too much detail in this review and I’ll make it short and sweet: I love this product!
For me, with my dehydrated combination skin and living in a hot country, this is an ideal daily moisturizer for this season. It absorbs quickly, leaves my skin moisturized without making it feel and look greasy. It protects from pollution and environmental aggressions with its antioxidant ingredients. It’s great as a makeup base… In short, it has it all and checks all my boxes!
It also has a light rosemary scent that is super pleasant when I use it (it’s not an added fragrance, rosemary is part of the list of the skincare ingredients), and adds to the feeling of freshness.
Anyway, I’m thrilled that the jar is 75ml and I sure hope it lasts me until the end of the summer 🙂.
In conclusion:
I really like this Vegan Kombucha range! The essence was already very nice and now, I’m also a fan of their gel-cream!
By the way, like the essence, the Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream is very easy to find online, even if you don’t live in Korea. It’s also available in several European online shops, in particular, and that’s quite convenient 🙂.

- the formula is complete, with many interesting skincare ingredients for a daily moisturizer,
- the effective hydrating effect,
- its antioxidant effect,
- the fresh and thirst-quenching texture, very pleasant in this time of year,
- the slightly "glossy" finish on the skin, but not greasy and which is well absorbed after a few minutes,
- the long-lasting comfort it provides.
Cons
- if I'm being picky, I'd say that would have preferred an air-less jar packaging, I'm not a fan of classic jar packaging that doesn't protect the formula from the air as well.

Method
I use the Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Gel Cream in the morning because it contains many antioxidant ingredients, but you can use it morning and/or evening.
I take a small amount of cream with a spatula that I apply on my face and neck at the end of my routine, after my serums.
I wait a few minutes, and then, I will apply my sunscreen.

I recently came across this product. And oh my! it is indeed an amazing product. Its summer here and I have an oil sensitive skin so I have to be really careful when selecting creams. I came across this product randomly and saw good reviews on it that I decided to get and try it. It has really hydrated my skin but does not make it oily. It balances the skin so well and its light weight so it does not feel heavy on the skin. I use it in the evening as well and in the morning skin care routine. Irrespective of having many moisturizers, my hands goes on to grab this DR.CEURACLE VEGAN KOMBUCHA TEA GEL CREAM only. 🙂
